Today, on Zoom, West Elementary students celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The school partnered up with United Way and had volunteers from Great Lakes Credit Union virtually read to students. Each grade learned the significance of the upcoming holiday through different books. The students were taught about Dr. King’s upbringing, the issues that lead to protests, and Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech.
